Bryan has more than 35 years of experience as a serial entrepreneur and in the private equity, investment banking/corporate finance, and risk management consulting fields. While an industry generalist, he has emphasized the areas of real estate, real estate-intensive operating businesses, specialty finance, hospitality and healthcare.
Bryan founded MVP in 1996 as a boutique private investment firm to invest in small – middle market companies, asset portfolios and illiquid financial investments, where market, capital, structural and/or operating inefficiencies could be identified and harnessed to create outsized risk-adjusted returns. Since then, he has personally overseen the raising and deployment of over $1.1 billion of equity capital, which has generated an average annual return of over 35%. This capital has come from a wide variety of investors (including pension funds, insurance companies, IB prop desks, private equity firms, hedge funds, fund-of-funds, private banks, family offices, and UHNW investors) in the US and 14 countries in Europe, as well as from the firm itself. Amongst these investments have been numerous companies where Bryan and his team have held significant strategic and operational roles, including in the specialty finance, fine art storage and logistics, multi-family apartment, hotel, wine, entertainment and oil and gas industries.
Bryan earned an MBA degree from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business and a BSE degree, cum laude, from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
